The BINORACLE's Resources
Being a BINORACLE is a life of constant discovery. Here are some of the interesting links I've found along the way
The Sharing Economy
The People Who Share
Are an organisation that promotes a sharing economy.
A hub for news and events about the burgeoning market for sharing.
Rent space in your home to travellers.
Share a meal with strangers.
Got space in your suitcase? Rent out your bag space for freight.
Catch a ride with someone else, get places cheaper, make a new friend and help save the environment.
Car Next Door
Rent your neighbour's car! Help them foot the cost of maintaining a car, and have access to a network of cars that you don't have to own!
Borrow My Doggy
Yes, you can spend time with someone else's dog because who doesn't love dogs?
The Little Button Diaries
Run by my lovely friend Tia (pictured above sharing a swing with me), this is a lovely little blog with great craft ideas, beautiful photography and lots of baking.
An upcycling blog with great interior design ideas.
Ideas for thrifty living
A Thrifty Mrs
Fun blog with great domestic tips, DIY stuff and lots and LOTS of charity buying.
Cooking on a Bootstrap
Bloody cheap recipes, with a generous side serve of politics.
Mr Money Mustache
More a thrifty lifestyle manifesto than a how-to blog, MMM saved his way into retirement at 30 by saving the majority of his pay and now spends his time helping others do the same.
This is a cheaper (in the longterm), healthier and greener alternative to traditional methods of managing menstruation - it's a soft, silicone cup that collects your period instead of absorbing it. Mooncups last for years and years, preventing millions of non-biodegradable pads and tampons from going into landfill. Some say it's disgusting; I say get over it. Watch this awesome rap battle if you need more convincing.
A cool blog that's a bit of a hub for eco-friendly and green blogs. You'll find some great ideas for reducing, reusing and recycling.
A Greener Festival
Dedicated to making the arts (particularly festivals) sustainable. Awesome.
A blog dedicated to green travel. Great.
An Australian consumer magazine that helps you make ethical choices.
Lovely blog on greener living.
